Kupang (Antara NTT) - The provincial administration of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is offering investors to build marina docking facility in a number of areas in that province.
"Currently the provincial administration is finalizing plans for development of marina docking facilities in a number of districts in NTT," secretary of the regional creative and tourism office Welly Rohimone told Antara News Agency here on Tuesday.
Welly said the infrastructure is needed to facilitate tourist boats visiting NTT. Large foreign tourist boats could not visit NTT because of the problem in landing, he said, adding they could dock at cargo ports as they would hamper the process of loading and unloading.
He said a number of tourist boat operators have complained about the lack of facility in the region. He said a number of locations for the marina projects have been prepared such as in the regency of Alor, Waikerang in Maumere and Ende in Flores.
"We will present the plan to Chinese investors here on 6 September, to be followed with presentation on December 20 to Australian investors," he said.
He said he hope the projects would attract investors to support development of tourism industry in the province.
