Kupang, NTT (ANTARA) - Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono has emphasized that agrarian reforms are still a strategic program of the ministry and will be continued by the next government.
"When the government changes, this remains the main agenda of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning," he said here on Saturday (14/9) yesterday.
The agrarian reform program is aimed at reducing inequality in land control and ownership as well as resolving agrarian disputes and conflicts. It also seeks to bring justice and prosperity to all levels of society.
He acknowledged that issues related to land and agrarian affairs have been recorded across regions in Indonesia, and are not limited to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
To tackle and eliminate the problems, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning needs support from various parties, including other ministries and agencies.

Regarding the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program, he affirmed that his ministry recorded that as many as 117 million land plots have been registered so far. The target was 120 million plot registrations by the end of 2024, he added.
"God willing, we are on the right track to reach the target," AHY, as the minister is popularly known, remarked.
The PTSL program is a strategic step to provide legal certainty regarding land to all citizens of Indonesia.
He said that the program is aimed at improving spatial administration and providing legal guarantees to the community regarding land ownership.
Official land ownership certifications from the state would also make national spatial planning more orderly.
