Kupang, E. Nusa Tenggara (AntaraNews NTT) - The regional Management (DPD) of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) said house sales fell short of 200-unit target in the 10-day REI Expo Bank NTT ending here on Sunday.
"This time we failed to reach the target. There were only 207 units sold of 300 units we hopes to sell in the REI Expo," chairman of the DPD of REI NTT Bobby Pitoby said when asked about the result of the second REI Expo held here this year.
The sales of the 207 units of house were valued at Rp34.1 billion, Bobby said here on Tuesday (19/6). He said REI was aware of the performance not up expectation but what is more important is REI has provided houses for people not yet having houses in NTT.
REI NTT has been committed to contributing to coping with housing problem in NTT by building good quality houses, he said. He said REI will not stop holding Expo in the province, adding for this year, REI plans to hold another EXPO in October.
He hoped there would be more buyers in the next Expo as the buyers are not burdened with advance payment. "There is no advance payment needed for REI Expo to allow more people to buy houses," he said. Around 18 developers from almost all district areas in NTT were involved in the 10-day REI Expo.
