...Vaccination for students is still in progress, with the recent addition of 100 people, thereby bringing the total to around 2,400 students that were vaccinated
Kupang (ANTARA) - The East Nusa Tenggara Province's Education and Culture Office reported that at least 2,400 high school and vocational school students had received COVID-19 vaccination.

"Vaccination for students is still in progress, with the recent addition of 100 people, thereby bringing the total to around 2,400 students that were vaccinated," Head of the East Nusa Tenggara Education and Culture Office Linus Lusi stated when contacted in Kupang, Friday.

Lusi noted that this was related to the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination for high school and vocational school students in East Nusa Tenggara.

Lusi remarked that vaccination for students on the field was held in accordance with the conditions in each region.

His administration will monitor and collect data in an integrated manner on the implementation of student vaccinations.

On the other hand, vaccinations for teachers or education personnel will be held in accordance with the conditions in each district or city under the coordination of the local Health Office.

Lusi stated that while the vaccination programs were being conducted, face-to-face learning activities at high schools and vocational schools in East Nusa Tenggara were also running.

However, several restrictions were put in place, such as limited time duration, small number of students in class, and curriculum simplification.

Only five to eight students were allowed to take part in face-to-face learning in each study group, he noted. Moreover, strict health protocols were still being enforced.

"Hence, gradually, all students in one study group, with a maximum of 36 people, are served," he stated.
