Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (AntaraNews NTT) - The inclusion of more tourism icons of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in the nomination of "Anugerah Pesona Indonesia" (API) 2018 has made the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) in this province proud.
"We are proud of the many iconic NTT tours that are included in the 2018 API nomination, which means that more and more people in various regions in Indonesia and abroad will know about the wealth of tourism in the province," NTT ASITA Chairman Abed Frans remarked here on Monday (25/6).
He pointed out that seven tourism icons of NTT Province included in the 2018 API nomination are Kelaba Maja rock cliff in Sabu Raijua Regency, the most popular traditional food of "bose" corn in Kupang City, trekking on Komodo Island in West Manggarai District, 1001 Sandalwood horse parade on Sumba Island, Praijing Adat or traditional Village in West Sumba District, Caci traditional dance in East Manggarai District, and Mount Mutis in North Central Timor District as the most popular highlands.
Frans noted that the various tourist icons included in this API nomination will make several people or event organizers aware of the beauty and wealth of tourism in the island province.
Further, he added that the API offers a free promotional opportunity to highlight the tourism wealth of NTT to the local and international community, so it needs to be fully supported by all government, private, and public entities.
