Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (AntaraNews NTT) - Head of the Tourism Office of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province Marius Ardu Jelamu is optimistic that the Lebaran holidays will enliven all local tourist destinations.

"We are certain that people will visit all tourist destinations in NTT during the Lebaran holidays," he stated here on Tuesday (12/6).

According to Jelamu, various tourist destinations will be thronged by tourists, especially the local people heading home to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. The community has traveled for homecoming, both from Kupang City and outside of NTT.

He explained that all areas in the province are offering a variety of rich and unique tourist destinations to cater to the choices of travelers during the holiday season.

"These tourists, both local and foreign, have a positive impact on improving the tourist destination," he stated.

Moreover, the flow of domestic and foreign tourists will enliven various leading tourist destinations in the province, such as Labuan Bajo, Flores Island, which has the Komodo National Park and has been crowded since the start of the Lebaran holidays, he added.

"In Labuan Bajo, most visitors are foreign tourists," he stated. Furthermore, domestic and foreign tourists are spread across various other popular destinations: Flores, Sumba, Alor, and Rote Islands.
