Sabuk Merah Perbatasan (Border Red Belt) RI-Timor Leste

Construction of a 162.13-kilometer-long road along the Indonesia-Timor Lester border named Sabuk Merah Perbatasan (Border Red Belt), has been completed.
Kupang, E. Nusa Tenggara (Antara NTT) - Construction of a 162.13-kilometer-long road along the Indonesia-Timor Lester border named Sabuk Merah Perbatasan (Border Red Belt), has been completed, East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Border Management Agency Head Paul Manehat informed Antara here, Tuesday.

Manehat revealed that the road is divided into six sections passing through the districts of Belu and Malaka. The six sections include Motaain-Silawan-Salore-Haliwen spanning 16.86 kilometers and Haliwen-Sadi-Asumanu-Haekesak-Turiskain measuring 34.50 kilometers.

The other sections are Turiskain-Fulur-Nualain-Henes reaching 27.97 kilometers; Nualain-Dafala measuring 33.60 kilometers; Dafala-Laktutus, 13.30 kilometers; and Laktutus-Motamukin (Motamauk), 35.70 kilometers.

Meanwhile, sections in the central area of North Timor Tengah District and the western area of Kupang District are under construction.

The central section, located in North Timor Tengah adjacent to the Oecusse enclave, starts from Amol towards Oehose until Manufono and ends in Wini near Oecusse in Timor Leste.

Meanwhile, the western section in the border area of Kupang District, which is also adjacent to Oecusse, starts from a point near Timor Leste, which is Oepoli, towards Fefa and Tubona-Saenam-Haumeniana and finally ends at Fainake.

The other sections connecting Oepoli in Kupang and Wini District in North Timor Tengah, which are adjacent to Oecusse, are almost complete.
