Kupang (ANTARA) - Hospitals and clinics in Indonesia will soon be supported by Indonesia's first medical knowledge sharing cloud, "Indonesia.md", where Indonesian doctors can co-care a local patient with local or global renowned specialists from their own consult room.
Borderless Healthcare Group, a global pioneer in healthcare technology, media, telecommunication, service and content, kickstarts an unprecedented knowledge superhighway to support hospitals and clinics in the largest healthcare market in Asia Pacific – Indonesia via its Indonesia.md cloud.
Indonesia.md has partnered with renowned specialists in the world from Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, USA and many others to share their medical knowledge with Indonesian doctors via the cloud.
Indonesian doctors interested in the services can access the cloud via a TV in their own consult room. Live interactions between the Indonesian doctor, his patient and the cloud-based specialists can be scheduled. Such immersive teleconsult allows patients and doctors to be engaged in an immersive co-care environment where borderless knowledge and local clinician support are provided to give the best of care to a local patient.
"Such online-to-offline co-care model between a knowledge partner and a local clinician can potentially be very suitable for a specialist-scarce country like Indonesia," says Mr Romeo Lledo, CEO of Metro Hospital Group in Indonesia, which has an MOU with Indonesia.md.
"Indonesia.md can also be synergistic to the wellness tourism ambition of Bali as clinics, resorts, gyms and spas can all be interoperating via this cloud. Of course, we also solved a very important but basic problem of language barriers as Indonesia.md has optional support from multi-lingual case managers," says Dr Patrick Monsarrat, owner of a clinic in Sanur.
"Knowledge-based healthcare must precede value-based healthcare in our region where healthcare services in this region still don’t have a universal standard of care and pricing. We hope our knowledge sharing cloud can benefit the region to acquire top medical knowledge faster and in a more interactive manner," says Dr Wei Siang Yu, founder and chairman of Borderless Healthcare Group.
Rector of University of MH Thamrin and Former Chief of IDI, Dr Daeng Mohammad Faqih, S.H, M.H. says, “This unprecedented knowledge cloud can allow global experts to exchange medical know-how with local doctors and herald a new glocal standard of excellence in practice and training for Indonesia”.
An omnichannel "medical rockstar" studio will be built in South Jakarta to support top Indonesian doctors to create public health empowerment campaign in collaboration with global medical experts.
"It’s about time for Indonesia to lead a new era of interactive health and wellness campaign with medical rockstars in the country and around the world," says Mr Haryono Eddyarto, a prominent Indonesian entrepreneur and the owner of The CEO Building.
