Indonesian Govt allocates Rp1.3 trillion for Labuan Bajo, Flores development

The Infrastructure development for the Labuan Bajo KSPN in 2020 is huge. The development projects will include roads, bridges, water, settlements and housing. We have reviewed several locations where the infrastructure will be developed soon.
Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NT (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has allocated Rp1.3 trillion for infrastructure development in five National Tourism Strategic Zones (KSPN) in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai District, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province.

The infrastructure development projects for the Labuan Bajo KSPN included water resources, road construction, bridges, accommodation, and housing, Agustinus Ch Dulla, the district head of West Manggarai, said in a statement here on Sunday.

"The Infrastructure development for the Labuan Bajo KSPN in 2020 is huge. The development projects will include roads, bridges, water, settlements and housing. We have reviewed several locations where the infrastructure will be developed soon," Dulla said.

Some Rp. 67.7 billion is allocated for the construction of the safety facilities of Loh Buaya Beach on Rinca Island.

Funds amounting Rp420.1 billion will be used for the construction of roads and bridges, the improvement of the Waecicu tourism area road and the Port access road construction.

Meanwhile, the settlement sector will receive Rp. 646.3 billion in funds, for improving the Marina-Bukit Pramuka beach area and Puncak Waringin area.

The Ministry of PUPR has also allocated a budget of Rp174.5 billion in 2020 for the construction of 315 tourism houses for the community in the western tip of the island of Flores.
