"While 10 percent of the other areas that have not been covered are in the stage of further coordination with competent relevant parties," Teny Ginaya told Antara on Thursday (8/11).
He stated this, answering questions about the development of BTS in the border region as President Joko Widodo`s joy that built Indonesia starting from the periphery.
Indonesian citizens who live on the border, such as in the village of Netemnanu Utara, Amfoang Subdistrict, Kupang Regency with the East Timor enclave, Oecusse, have difficulty using the internet from Telkomsel Indonesia.
They were forced to buy internet vouchers from Timor Leste to communicate. "The process of building Telkomsel BTS in the NTT border area has reached 90 percent. There are still 10 percent of the border areas that have not been covered," he said.
Other areas that have not been reached yet, are in the stage of further coordination with competent related parties to immediately begin construction, he said.

He added the construction of BTS in the border area remains a priority for Telkomsel at this time to support government programs in meeting the communication needs of the people in the border areas.
In addition, to meet the needs of the community, especially in the NTT region and beyond, in terms of smooth communication and speed of access to information dissemination through Telkomsel data services, the facilities relating to this should also be installed, said Teny Ginaya.
