Kupang (Antara NTT) - A business delegation from the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara, led by Governor Frans Lebu Raya, arrived in China, Wednesday, on an economic, business, and investment mission.
"We arrived with the business delegation in China as a follow-up on the Chinese Consulate General`s Investment Forum in Kupang on September 9, 2017," the East Nusa Tenggara governor remarked in a text message to Antara here on Thursday.
Governor Raya said the visit to Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province, China, was undertaken to comply with the invitation of the Government of the People`s Republic of China.
He explained that the business delegation from East Nusa Tenggara was welcomed by the vice governor of Zhejiang, who said the relationship between Indonesia and China has intensified since Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited Hangzhou City for the G20 Summit in China in 2016.
At that time, the vice governor of Zhejiang had immediately ordered his staff to coordinate with the East Nusa Tenggara government, through the Investment Department, to gather the best businessmen to invest in the Indonesian province.
He said investments are particularly in the marine, fisheries, and tourism sectors.
