Surabaya (ANTARA) - PLN Nusantara Power, a subsidiary of the state-owned electricity producer PLN, explored potential cooperation in renewable energy infrastructure with delegates from nine German companies during a meeting on Monday.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action organized the delegation's visit.

PLN Nusantara Power CEO Ruly Firmansyah welcomed the delegation in a statement on Monday, thanking them for their visit to discuss technological transformation in the electricity sector.

The German companies expressed interest in collaborating and investing with PLN Nusantara Power, a company committed to advancing national energy infrastructure and ensuring a sustainable electricity supply for the development of the new capital, Nusantara, in East Kalimantan.

Firmansyah stated that PLN Nusantara Power was open to exchanging information and knowledge with German companies and exploring investment opportunities in Nusantara, particularly for renewable energy development projects.

"We recognize the important role in supporting sustainable energy solutions and are very open to exploring opportunities for synergy, particularly at the international level," he said.

Andreas Zotl, regional manager for Asia and Oceania at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, stated that the German delegation and the German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce were visiting Indonesia to assess PLN Nusantara Power's capabilities in renewable energy development.

He expressed confidence in PLN Nusantara Power's ability to develop renewable energy in Indonesia through various projects and international collaborations.

PLN Nusantara Power has successfully completed several green power projects, including the 192 MWp (megawatt peak) Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant and the 50 MW Nusantara Solar Power Plant.

The company is currently developing several green power projects, including the 100 MWp Karangkatas Floating Solar Power Plant, the 35 MWp Tembesi Solar Power Plant, the 70 MW Tanah Laut Wind Power Plant, and the 510 MW Batang Toru Hydroelectric Power Plant.
