Chinese Investors Studying Possible Investment On Kera Island

"The Chinese businessmen and the Consul General want to see business potential on the island of Kera," Bobby Pitoby told reporters on the islands.
Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara,  (Antara NTT) - At least 28 Chinese investors visited the island Kera off Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday to study possible investment on the island in the Kupang bay.

The Chinese delegation was accompanied by Chinese Consul General from Denpasar Hu Yinguan, and a leader of the Kupang branch of the Real Estate Indonesia Bobby Pitoby, who is chief executive officer of Pitoby Group.

"The Chinese businessmen and the Consul General want to see business potential on the island of Kera," Bobby Pitoby told reporters on the islands.

He said the Pitoby Group will soon build a Pitoby Raya Resort over a 25 hectare plot of land owned by the company on the 40 hectare island.

In addition to building the resort with a hotel, the company would develop potential sea sports or sea games, and other facilities such as pier and exclusive swimming pool, he said.

"We want to show to the investors the potentials of the island, its the natural beauty with sparkling sand beach. "We hope to form partnership with the investors," he said.

He said the first phase of investment already began with the development of base camp on the island.

He said he had handed over proposals to the Chinese investors about a number of potential projects not only on the island of Kera but also on other islands in East Nusa Tenggara.
